The Quran states that the Ark of Nuh (Noah) was preserved as a historical and physical sign for future generations. In Surah Al-Qamar (54:13–15), it describes the ship and says: "And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?". This is repeated in Surah Al-Ankabut (29:15), where God says: "We made it a sign for all the worlds", and in Surah Al-Haqqah (69:11–12), where it is described as a lasting reminder. According to Surah Hud (11:44), the Ark specifically came to rest on Mount Al-Judi (in modern-day Turkey), and classical Islamic scholars (such as Ibn Kathir and Qatadah) noted that the ship was left intact on the mountain for a long time to be seen and discovered by later generations.

This means his ship never sailed! Yes, he built it and prepared it for the flood, but it wasn't used because it was discovered in the mountains.

If it ever was historical it was domesticated livestock and local wildlife. Also without going too deep the ark would have had an army of servants not of that bloodline. I think this is a natural formation however.
