Taking stock of what got you to this place, and accepting total responsibility for your actions, or inactions. This is a time to grow, and a time to be the man you’ve always wanted to become. If you’re a father, be the father you want your kids to have. And a couple of things—— 1. End the close relationship with your ex wife. You are two separate people now, and it’s ok to not share your feelings with her. And, it’s ok to tell her you no longer wish to know her feelings. 2. End your relationships with her family. Blood is thicker than water, and once you’re divorced, you’ll find nothing but pain if you continue to have them in your life for anything other than acquaintances. It will change you, if you want it to. And you’ll be a better man, and better adult on the other side.

i don't know what brought you & your wife to divorce (No judgement) but you do sound as if you are being honest with yourself about it[Power]. aside from every thing that has happened you sound like a guy who has a lot of love to give. If you have kids let them fully express how they feel about this but have that conversation with them. if they hear it from you it helps. i hope the best for you & keep us posted [Pray][Pray]

Sometimes divorce just has to happen because two people grow apart and are no longer showing up for each other in the ways they need to. After 24 years with the same person, I can honestly say I should have left long before I did. But I also believe everything happens for a reason. I definitely feel like this is a new beginning, a chance to step into the next phase of life with more wisdom, self-awareness, and knowledge of what I want and need in my next relationship. Neither of us are to blame for the divorce.
