I was always surprised pecan pie never really got popular in the UK. out of all American desserts it has such a nice comforting, nutty flavor that I always thought would be appreciated by a British palate

Folks, add a pinch of flakey salt on top. Cuts through that sugar.

Not one scoop of ice cream! Those poor people didn’t get the full experience of warm pecan pie with cold creamy vanilla ice cream on the same bite. They’ve been deprived.

One piece? I ate an entire pecan pie in our family car en route to visit relatives, got miserably sick. Dad bought 2. I believe I ate nearly all of the 2nd one on holiday 😋
