No, but one of my Romanian friends here (I'm an Aussie who has been working seasonally in Romania for 4yrs, and now living here for 1yr) kept trying to warn me about pickpockets (it's not a thing in Australia, they'll just blatantly mug you at knife point). I kept brushing it off, one day she gave me a hug as I was leaving, and suddenly my phone was missing 😭 lesson learnt (she obviously gave it back, and we had a good laugh)
