The best way to moisturize hair is based off porosity. And then once you figure out their hair porosity , I recommend the LCO method. L is for leaving conditioner. C is for cream and O is for some sealant. It can be oil or grease.

I would suggest just basic water and hair grease. Once a month do a clarifying shampoo followed with a moisture Shampoo and conditioner.
