I helped a young girl flee her Pakistani family she was 17 being forced to marry a 45 year old man but was telling her it was to look after her nan she knew it wasn’t that, she stayed in a refuge, they broke in the family dragged her out of her room. Luckily staff intervened she was moved away. She’s now happily married to a man out of her culture. Has children I’m glad she was free

what gets me is that if we move to another country.. we have to follow their rules and laws... which is fair enough..the same thing should happen here... arranged marriages aren't allowed here.. but this country went soft and allowed ppl to do what they want... and this poor young woman suffered because of it.
