This happens if you don’t know what you’re getting into, you need an iron will and you need to know record label terms and when to walk out otherwise they will break you down you need to know your worth, your purpose, and what you deserve cause they will do anything to try to take advantage of you, it can be horrible but that’s why you need to be educated if it’s something you want to do, that’s also why I feel like studying the greats doesn’t just mean their music or performance, but the things they went through with their labels, in their lives, and how they fought against it
