@katja5236: The iconic white shoes Elvis wore during his famous homecoming concert in Tupelo, Mississippi, on September 26, 1956 — the so-called “Elvis Presley Day” — are now preserved and displayed at the Graceland museum. The distinctive blue velvet shirt — along with an identical red one that Elvis wore during the evening concert — was made for him at the Warner Bros. Studios by Natalie Wood’s personal costumer or tailor. Inside the shirt was even a studio label bearing the handwritten date “9/1/56” and her name. She gave it to Elvis in late summer 1956, while he was working on his first film, Love Me Tender. The dark trousers were black pants, similar to those Elvis often bought from the well-known Lansky Brothers clothing store in Memphis. Bernard Lansky was one of Elvis’s key outfitters at the time and played an important role in shaping his early, iconic style. #ElvisPresley #Elvis #Elvis1950s #EIvisFans #theking
