a simplified way to look at it is head triad vs gut triad. security and fear vs autonomy and anger. 6’s are more about having support, guidance, and loyalty to deal with their fear whilst 8’s are more about control, strength, and self reliance to deal with their anger

this made me realize I'm definitely 7w6 😭😭 however it wasn't exactly because I'm concerned, in fact I'd consider myself very calculated, but I've usually related to e8 more than e6.. but now I've realized that wings are intended to make enneagrams less "categorized", in a way. anyways assertive triad out 😁😁

Intelligence and intellectualism isn’t rlly tied to an enneagram and especially not to a wing. An 7w8 could very much be smarter than a 7w6 it’s about motivations, fears and desires.
