I cried once. It was because I had so many orders. I was trying to be very fast and the person on window didn’t tell me that I messed up two orders. Instead, she just sat there and stared at me, assuming I would know even though I’m making other orders, when my supervisor told me I was like “oh what I thought they were ice caps?” No it was iced coffee. And I was already going through shit previously that day so I js broke down and got a break

the amount of people in their early 20s at walmart who took their jobs so seriously that they convinced themselves being disrespected in those conditions was normal is actually insane to me. working there really opened my eyes to how crazy some workplaces can be and how much people will normalize just to keep a job. and the way some women treat younger girls who are just starting their lives is genuinely disappointing. this isn’t about thinking you’re better than anyone, it’s about realizing how many people will try to make you feel small for simply being young and figuring life out. this goes out to all the girls, especially those in small towns, please be careful about the environments you put yourselves in, pay attention to how people treat you, and don’t let anyone convince you that being disrespected is just a normal part of having a job. it’s not.
