If you’re unemployed, call your banks so mortgage or car immediately, tell them you want financial assistance due to layoff or whatnot. Legally they have to pause your payments or defer them up to a certain duration. That way they cannot come tow your car or foreclose your house. That one call serves as proof in court too. Then call state assistances like she mentioned - certain states have utility assistance! They’ll pay your light, water bills

Thank you! I’ve been so inspired to make a TikTok dedicated to the resources that have helped me and my two young kids escape DV. Not just help but thrive. I wish I started a channel last year when I started but I was scared because of a lot of things but mostly that I wouldn’t pull through. But almost ever need I’ve had I’ve been met with, God provided. And I’ve kept moving forward. So many women need to know this isn’t information that’s hard to reach, just direction.

I tried WIOA to get help for LVN school but the social worker I had gave me an extremely hard time for 2 years 😔 (I couldn’t switch social workers either) eventually I got fed up and left.
