op's son is the golden child. I say this because they did a great job teaching the daughter Independence, but she showed favoritism towards her son, because op said that her son is saying that she choosing the daughter over him!

Your son and his wife are used to you making them the priority over his sister and that is the problem. Yes do they want you there of course but they also want you to choose them like you always do and the fact that you’re not is hard for them. Keep the promise to your daughter. She’s having two babies with little to no help.

So greedy 😭😂 I would fully expect my MIL to be with HER daughter during that time. I know I’d want MY mom with me 😭. Me and my SIL are pregnant right now actually lol. I fully expect my MIL to be there for my SIL and want her to be, especially since me and my husband are older and this is our second child. My mil and SIL have been great to us and helped us so much I would never want to pull resources when she might need help most.

You know what the difference is. The son isn’t giving birth, it’s not up to the dil to demand that she’s there. Daughter is OPs child, and she’s having twins. That is not easy. Son has plenty of help and has to stop being selfish and get over himself
