The problem with Spar is that they are chasing higher profit margins. They do this because of the declining footfall in their shops and smaller baskets than usual but it's not gonna work. consumers are chasing specials

honestly spar is thriving in the townships. in urban areas they're really have a hard time thanks to checkers. khayelitsha has a total of 3 spars and they're all doing wonderful
