@artsbytye: AniMixtape_001 A Mixed-Media Mishmash of Four Different Subjects and Styles. Music by the Great “weird inside”. Big thanks to Ani for letting me use his track “No More Happy Endings”! Completed this short back in June and I’m proud to be finally releasing it online! The idea started when I saw that a local animation festival (MinnAnimate) had submissions ending in 2 months. Hadn’t been working on any projects and was struggling to find motivation to create and this seemed like a great deadline to work towards. Toyed with the idea of a narrative short since my work is generally non-linear but after drawing a blank for a few weeks I ended up simply writing out two lists: things I enjoy, and analogue mediums I have the materials to do. Matched four to four and AniMixtape was born. Definitely a good activity in terms of jumpstarting the creative process and will be using again in the future when I hit a rut.
