I once had a lecturer who would dictate the entire lesson whilst pacing around. I asked him if he wouldn’t mind, to write everything we needed to know on a sheet of paper, give them to us, and then we can discuss as a group rather than just listen to him and copy what he is saying.Bless him, he did exactly what I asked and it was loads better.

I never listen to the lecture nor do I listen to the podcasts. I just do it by myself. It saves a lot of time.

and this is why I dropped out after 2nd year (4 years course) waste of money and time and effort. you'd ask a lecturer something and they'd say "look at slide xyz on this PowerPoint that U can find here" like cheers thanks for that definitely worth £18K a year

not my lecturers they do have slides but they have very minimal notes and most of the information is said verbally which i struggle to keep up with half of the time lol

he just read all the slides and add a phrase but If I don't know that phrase I am done for😭 plus I have to read 2 book to learn things that he doesn't say. HE HAS 3 OR 4 HOURS AND HE CANT EVEN SAY ALL THE THINGS HE NEED?!? before the uni every prof was able to do it with 1h max 2.

This is what It was like when I studied nearly 20 years ago so it's not changed 😂 I'm doing a degree with the open uni now and I prefer it. At least they tailor it so you can self learn properly without having to remember what slide was about what.
