I am one person. I live alone and I have no dependents. No kids, no roommates, nothing. Groceries for me, one person, are $250. When my mom was my age. Groceries for a household of 4 were less than that.

No price controls or prosecutions for price gouging after Covid, so companies knew they could get away with constant increases (also, there are 6-8 companies that own 90% of our groceries….so no competition)
