I am a second parent. I spent the entire day with your child. And we care!!!

Teacher here, we can do nothing with a child high on sugar. If she’s messaging you that means she’s experiencing a different kid after lunch.

“Call me like a real woman” is a wild thing to say. She messaged a parent politely to look out for a student. That is quite literally her job. Many teachers do not have the time in their day to call a parent but a quick message in an app is faster. She had a concern about your child and instead of talking to her about that concern, you’re getting spiteful? I don’t understand that logic?

Primary school teacher here. I know you’re lashing out because you’re embarrassed but please know it comes from a good place. They are not trying to shame or attack you. If your child is a picky eater/deals with ARFID etc then have that conversation with the teacher. They will understand. It does not need to be a “you against them” situation, I promise.

Sometimes it’s not shame and it takes a lot as the teacher to inquire.

I am a teacher and I would never shame a parent for their kids lunch. If you send food they will eat, you are doing the best. Lord, I was sent with a bologna sandwich and a juice box every day of the week.

honestly, I'd love to see the actual message. if it's coming from a place of love or is she is just food shaming you.
your child could be experiencing behavioral issues because of what he's eating which should be explained to you.
though I do agree that there has to be some less processed foods you can add... it's not really her business outside of a behavioral concern. how other students feel or don't feel is ridiculous to mention.

I am so sick and tired of seeing videos from this generation of moms who have no respect for teachers. And we sit and wonder where kids entitlement is coming from!

The issue here is you choosing to take that comment as a personal attack when it was likely simply a genuine suggestion because certain foods do affect behavior. I understand ARFID can make this really difficult tho
