Excuse me mate I manager an accounts team and I am responsible for all of them my BOSS is the finance director , I treat them all with respect I never take the glory for their work I am there for it team and I defend them to the death for want of better words . We are a great team respect is earned not given I care and I promote them and reward them myself because they work hard and I respect them all very much . Don’t judge us by others

Managers can only control you if they have more knowledge than you. Most don’t, they are brought in from outside the business. They cover their lack of knowledge by micro managing KPI and breaks and start times. If you know the business inside out they fail every time at critiquing your work. You will always have the upper hand .
