It’s not a “someone” though. it’s an animal. And animal protein is an important part of human nutrition. We can love and care about animals and acknowledge the way they are slaughtered and treated before is terrible, while also recognizing that humans are omnivores and have historically eaten animals for nourishment. People who eat meat aren’t inherently hurtful toward animals. If a cow can live a happy, healthy life and ultimately provide nourishment to us is that really less meaningful than simply letting it live its life and eventually die naturally?

I feel like if there were better meat alternatives that didn’t taste like dirt and straight up compost more people would become vegetarians. But you can’t be forcing your lifestyle choices on other people, especially when plant based meat is hella expensive
