Ex-boyfriend arrested, charged after allegedly pushing young mom, baby off NYC balcony: Police NEW YORK -- A man has been arrested and charged with pushing a young mother and her infant from the balcony of a New York City apartment building, police said. The mother died, and her infant is in critical condition, according to the New York Police Department. Angel Carrasco, 31, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, attempted manslaughter and assault, according to the NYPD. New York police officers responded to a 911 call in the Bronx at around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday to find a 23-year-old woman, identified by police as Nathaly Ramirez and an 8-month-old girl suffering injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position, according to the NYPD. According to WABC, officers examined a 15th-floor balcony for evidence. Upon further investigation, officers determined the two had been allegedly pushed from a balcony, the NYPD said. Both individuals were taken to Jacobi Hospital. The infant is in critical condition, police said. Ramirez was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the NYPD. Police said Carrasco's close friend went to police and told detectives where Carrasco was hiding. Carrasco was arrested by members of the Regional Fugitive Task Force. Investigators said surveillance video showed Carrasco leaving the apartment building after the incident. Detectives also recovered flowers inside Ramirez's apartment and believe Carrasco had brought them in an attempt to reconcile after recent disputes. #justiceagainstsomesticviolence #tragicstory #domesticabuseawareness #bronxny
