Similar experience. I was around 12 and woke in middle of night to a figure standing my bedroom doorway. I was so scared and wanted to scream for my Mom and Dad but couldn’t and did the same of pulling covers over my head. My grandma always told me to tell them to go away, they are not wanted and pray and they will.
