My mom was a dentist in Yugoslavia. She did the teeth of my entire town and didn’t have access to X-Rays till 2001 so she would use a hand drill to find cavities and told me she knew she found it once the patient stated screaming. It’s a different type of knowledge they had in Eastern Europe
