My girlfriend didn't know how to react when we first started dating. I opened every door for her. Almost 3 years later I still do. She thought it was the "nice guy" act. I explained I asked my grandfather when I was 7 years old why he does that for Grandma. "Well son, My wife will always know that I put her first in this world." That stuck with me....No other girl in my life before my current girlfriend has experienced me putting them first 😉

Love is such a weird word, everyone has their own definition of it. Weird how 2 people can say the same word to each other. Yet one person says it in the “I like how you make me feel” way, and the other in the “I’d genuinely 💀 for you” way

Seems like nowadays, the person's "I love you" is actually "I need you" and when the needs aren't met, that person leaves you. But, they weren't in love to begin with because love is supposed to be selfless. Seems like unconditional love is non-existent.
