@firewalkwithmeh0.0: pre-redemption zuko was fully just experiencing psychological warfare from ozai it’s not even funny i cry whenever i see ponytail zuko because he was going through so much my child oh my god mother pick the pieces up broken child a broken cup. imagine how fucking broken he must have felt when his mum left. the only person who was there for him btw. i know iroh was around sometimes but not then. his whole childhood he’d just been cast aside and hurt by ozai. he didn’t know why guys he was just a little boyyyyyyy ugh. zuko was always different from his family and genuinely without iroh i believe he would’ve driven himself insane trying to be like them. he was basically there in season 1. also i mean azula was raised to be like that and she didn’t naturally go against it like zuko did but she STILL went mad. that comic panel of ozai shouting at him and zuko being actually scared shitless always really upsets me. he was a little kid guys :( whoever wrote zuko’s lost days better count their days because istg that comic drives me mad it’s so heartbreaking. kid was hurting honourable mention to the scene where he runs out into the courtyard and asks where is she and ozau just stares off into the distance. i can’t cope. that scene. hurts me.
