I had a couple disputes with my credit card company which took over 3 months to solve and required me to chase them constantly as they werent updating me. They ended up paying me £150 which i didnt accept but they just credited it to my account. Is it worth it to chase ombudsman with this? Considering it was misheld on multiple occasions not just one?

Yes, because English litigation has risks when it comes to costs whereas America does not. If you loose a case in England you may be ordered to pay your opponents costs so it is risky!

I like this. However, there are limits to what UK courts will pay out compared to the US, where it's massive for car crashes, etc.

Same thing happened to me, British Gas recorded a missed payment on my credit file which affected my credit rating. I took it with them with the energy Ombudsman, they cancelled all the debt and sent me a £100 cheque. I should have sued 🤦♂️

The problem is that the whole UK culture treats such actions differently. I had a friend who successfully sued his company for discrimination, but found himself blacklisted in the industry. 😌

Had similar issue with water company. After telling them the situation. They said, "so how would you like to make payment"??! I was not at the property. They created an account using my details. Still shocked til this day. I did not even get an apology.

My hand got burned by McDonald’s hot chocolate years ago & they said they’ll give me another one with two cups, I accepted. Only to be woken up with blisters on my hand……Idk why I didn’t think of sueing
