@robeverydayfinance: ⛑️💰 2 changes you need to make to break the “safe” habit of keeping everything in a checking account Checking accounts feel safe because you’re familiar with them, but that “safe” feeling isn’t actually safe. Inflation dilutes your money’s buying power every year. It’s what causes your salary to feel like it doesn’t cover anything anymore. Here are 2 ways to get your money working for you: 1️⃣ Put any money not being used for bills or immediate expenses in a HYSA. This is a specialized savings account that pays you more than what your bank does, just for holding your money in the account. 2️⃣ Invest anything you can. Low cost, broad market index funds are one of the safest investments because they track entire groups of stocks and filter out underperforming companies automatically. 👇 Drop any questions you have below Follow me @robeverydayfinance for more personal finance you weren’t taught growing up! #PersonalFinance #personalfinancetips #financialliteracy #inflation #rothira
What’s your take on paying taxes now vs later? I think I’m in a higher tax bracket now than vs later in life at retirement

Espie :
What do you think about making a hysa (the ones with no penalty to taking money out when you want) as your main checking account and savings account? I saw someone make a video about it. It feels like it could work if you left your spending money in there until you have to pay your bills.
