There are already transparency requirements in places like the EU for certain AI-generated content, especially when it can be mistaken for real events or evidence, and platforms are increasingly adding AI labels and provenance/watermarking systems. Hopefully standardized, recognizable AI watermarks become widespread so viewers can immediately tell what’s real and what’s AI-generated.
