@records.in.reverie: ☕️ There are some records that just pair perfectly with a good cup of coffee. This morning, it’s The Long Run by the Eagles, spinning alongside a cup from HiFi Coffee Roasters — and “I Can’t Tell You Why” feels like the perfect soundtrack to start the day. Released in 1979, The Long Run was the Eagles’ sixth studio album, and “I Can’t Tell You Why” stands out with its smooth, soulful sound. The song came together through Timothy B. Schmit, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey. Schmit brought the beginnings of the song to the group, and the three finished writing it together. But what really makes this track special is Schmit’s voice. 🎶 “I Can’t Tell You Why” gave Schmit his first lead-vocal performance with the Eagles, and his warm, soulful delivery became one of the defining sounds of the song. Frey and Henley added backing vocals, while Frey also contributed the guitar solo. There’s just something about dropping the needle on this one while that first cup of coffee is still doing its job. ☕️💿 So grab your favorite coffee, put the phone down for a few minutes, and let the Eagles handle the soundtrack to your morning. Sometimes, you don’t need to tell anyone why. 😉🦅 #TheEagles #ICantTellYouWhy #TheLongRun #VinylCollector #VinylRecords
