Sis, I’m saying this with love, not to attack you. ❤️I just think it’s important for all of us as Christians to be careful about how we talk about and judge other people. Jesus literally said, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” (Matthew 7:1) He also talked about how we should look at our own faults before pointing out everyone else’s. (Matthew 7:3–5) There’s nothing wrong with having your own beliefs or disagreeing with something. But constantly calling out other religions or transgender people and judging them isn’t the same thing as simply having a Christian conviction. The Bible tells us to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15), and 1 Corinthians 13 says that love is patient, kind, and not proud. Jesus also said the two greatest commandments are to love God and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37–39). And honestly, I think Matthew 6:1 is something worth thinking about too. Jesus warned people not to make their religious actions into a performance just so other people would see how righteous they are. Faith isn't supposed to be a spectacle or a way to make ourselves look more holy than everyone else. James 4:12 basically reminds us that God is the ultimate judge, not us. You can believe something is wrong without treating the people who believe differently like they're beneath you. You can disagree with someone and still treat them with dignity. Jesus didn't tell us to go around looking for people to condemn. He told us to love people, show mercy, forgive, and let our own lives reflect what we believe.
“Let everything you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14 I just hope you’ll think about whether the way you’re talking about other people is actually showing them the love of Christ. ❤️Because if we're going to represent Christianity, I think how we treat people matters just as much as what we say we believe.
