I definitely know how you feel. I lost my 2019 Camry due to a semi side swiped me in may. Honestly, the damage to your car is not that bad. It basically comes down to the insurance company estimate how much it cost to fix the vehicle and what your vehicle is worth and if it gets close to that range of what it’s actually worth they just total out and write you a check for what the vehicle is valued at, but if it’s decently below the estimated value of your vehicle, they’ll fix it. The reason why your airbags didn’t go off all because the sensor was damaged due to the the car accident those sensors measure force at the start of a collision. The sensor must not have detected enough force to deploy any airbags because the car and the airbag module looks at a whole bunch of data and whether it wants to deploy any airbags or seatbelt pretensioner or both, but my guess would be it’s because the sensor did not read a high enough force to trigger any of the safety restraints

It's not silly for you to be upset and crying! It's a big deal. I would cry too. The important thing is that you're alive and not hurt. Cars can be replaced but you cannot! Did the cops help find the person who's tire it was? Is insurance helping?

you will get money from insurance to fix it, or from the culprits. I also literally saw somebody come straight at my head on but they were sideways. It was crazy, I totally understand where you're coming from! mine was not totaled and it was $20000 in damage. I paid zero and got a couple thousand from the other insurance company for loss. I know the whole thing sucks but at least you're okay and everything will work out just fine. might be a little stressful and annoying but maybe it's not a total loss and you still have your baby! it's definitely possible

I’m so sorry. Don’t feel bad about having emotions. I’ve been in a few wrecks myself not a single one was my fault. Some I was the passenger. We all proved differently and I’m the crying type. The shop is probably right in their suggestion. Even if you’re not in the area, check out @Hyundai of Cool Springs. Ask for Nico tell him Patrick’s friends sent you. They can ship. I’d be happy to go look at anything over there for you as someone independent of the dealer. I’m not a mechanic and don’t claim to be one. lol. But I can send you pics, videos and or FaceTime etc. if they don’t have one, they’re in a good network and can find one in sure.
