On September 24, Doctors Against Genocide brought more than 200 medical professionals and supporters to Washington, D.C., for 1000 White Coats for Humanity Day. Dr. Dana Ataya spoke directly to those who remain silent in the face of genocide: You may be afraid. But the cost of silence is always borne by someone else. A child who has lost their entire family. A child who has lost their limbs and their future. A patient left to die because they cannot access lifesaving treatment. We then held more than 35 meetings on Capitol Hill, advocating for an end to the obstruction of medical aid to Gaza, protection of civilians and healthcare workers, healthcare as a human right, protection of immigrant communities, and public investment in human needs-not warfare.
