Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke reminded me so much of The Silent Patient in that the protagonist, if you can call her that, has such an icky feeling inner world. The unreliable narrator trope does a lot of work here, creating tension and unease throughout. This book is a page turner, to be sure, and my only complaint is that the reveal happens abruptly. It almost has an “ok, that’s enough of that now” feel to it. I’m giving it a 3.5/5! #yesteryear #caroclaireburke #bookreview #BookTok #gmabookclub
