Born and raised in SE DC my entire life and Absolutely TF Not!!! I live in a 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, 2 walk-in closets with washer/dryer, garage parking space, business/fitness center and 24 hour concierge for that price.

Listen I have nothing against SE or Barry Farms..but as a DC native I wouldn’t tell you to live over there as an outsider. You need to know that area before you move there.

I lived in SE for a bit, a good number of years. I’m a DC native and was scared to moved there. It ended up being amazing. I loved my place and the neighbors didn’t bother me. Ride by at night though to really feel the neighborhood

Don’t do it. I moved there to save money. I was sooooo motivated to stick to my new budget after I saw my first shooting. I stayed for the length of the lease, paid off my car early and moved back to navy yard. Anacostia also isn’t as walkable as other areas. When I did walk to the metro, I always saw people selling weed, homeless people passed out and overdosed. I’m too suburban for the area 🤦🏾♀️

im not sure Barry Farms is the safest option. i live in Glover Park and love it. it’s super quiet, has a ton of green space, and you can prob find something similar here.

Echoing my girl up there - it’s cheap for a reason. In general I’d look up crime rates for any area you’re moving to but that is a rougher area and that unit is ground level. That metro stop is also active

I use to live in Anacostia and it was a good time. Don’t let these people scare you if you want to live there. I was on Payne Terrace for about 4 years.
