I work in a school and seriously the amount of safeguarding issues that you have to raise in a day is truly shocking and tragic. all kids deserve so much better. a lot of your time is spent on safeguarding.

I went into child protection as a career as I was so badly abused as a child that I needed to be a part of ensuring that children were kept as safe as possible.

my own dad hurt me when i was 17 and made s*xual remarks to my body as i was growing and told me to wear same underwear as my mum and used to slap my butt and joke about it and always wanted to sleep in my bed and locked me in the house and banned me from collage cuz i had a bf at the time and banned me from seeing friends and he called me a sl*g and spat at my face after slapping me i was dragged to top of the stairs and left me to fall down them and i grazed all down my back i couldnt sleep on my back for weeks and my parents never bothered taking me hospital. i can remember afew days before at collage i was caught skipping my lesson i remember feeling dull and alone and all the teacher did was yell at me and threatened he will call my dad i begged him not to and i said my he will kill me but he didnt listen i was forced to stay home but the collage never checked if i was okay and to why i wasnt at collage nobody cared about my well being i can remember my dad went hospital to check his ankle cuz he hurt himself when he hurt me and my mum took my sister school i ran downstairs onto the tablet as my fb account was on there i called my friend at collage and screamed for help and the fact i was scared i said im hurt and plz help then i ended the call and ran upstairs to my room then my mum was home and 20 minutes later tge police came to tge door and asked to see me they checked my injuries and looked around the house i remember i struggle with emotions i didnt cry i only smiled like it was a normal day i went back in the house to grab my belongings and my mum looks at me and said is this necesary i wanted to k*ll her there and then for not protecting me i didnt show any emotions cuz i didnt know how all i know is pain and suffering and feeling like a glass child. i have now been away from that home for 5 years i have now got 2 kids of my home. my parents know i got kids but i dont let them see them and if they try getting near my kids i will call police. my mum contacted me last year asking how i am i felt rage looking at it so i gave my phone to my partner to deal with it and he did and i havent heard anything since and there blocked on everthing

I work at a school, serving food, but you get to know the girls you know their moods, always ask them if they are ok if they are upset because even if they don't tell me I like them to know that I care, worked there since 04 so definitely get to know them, its not just the teachers it's everyone that works at a school

I’ve always said that you need a safe room with a person in that room like a qualified Nan or a person that can be in that room from am to pm with a tea pot biscuits magazines even a tv so that they can go and tell someone if anything like this happens the room will make them feel clam and safe
