“Miss, pull up your pants. Get out of the bathroom!” Body-cam footage offers a rare glimpse inside a workplace immigration sweep of a snack-food company, revealing chaotic coordination and tense exchanges. The released video footage shows a small army of immigration officers forcing entry into the Nutrition Bar Confectioners plant in Cato, upstate New York, on 4 September 2025. Over several hours, federal authorities from multiple agencies made 57 arrests, debated which files to seize and when to release employees who were US citizens. The footage was used as part of a lawsuit filed on Thursday that accuses authorities of overstepping their search warrants. During efforts to find anyone in hiding, male officers can be seen entering a room after demanding those inside to “open the door.” “Get down” officers shouted, before quickly realising they had entered a bathroom with “females, females!” One woman was reportedly outside of a stall and another could be seen in the stall - sitting on the toilet. “Miss, pull up your pants. Come out of the bathroom!” he instructed her. “You have to wait. I can’t come out like this, naked!” she replied. Employees were lined up and separated into groups of US citizens and potential non-citizens. Officers asked for their immigration status, requested documents and posed questions about their entry into the US. ICE (United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement) has been scrutinised after a $75 billion funding boost from Congress and an expanding street presence led to three fatal shootings this year. ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations unit is responsible for workplace raids, which have been relatively few compared to ICE’s removal unit, which arrests people in the street, at homes and in public and also manages detention centres.
