The amount of horrible managers out there that cave to this behaviour at the cost of their staff is horrible.

I hate when people come into my job right before closing. We put soups away at 9:55, salads section is closed and sandwich, all you can really get is a drink.

While you were arguing with me, the register has shut down. When I say we close at 9, I mean nothing works after 9.

Yea I’ve never worked at a restaurant that didn’t serve people right up to closing time. I walked out on a job once because some people came in just as we were locking the door and the manager said I had to serve them, I told him no and that he could serve them. Got my stuff clocked out and left.

If the place closes in an hour I’m getting my food to go or just finding a 24 hour McDonalds cause I’m not about to have them waiting on me to leave.

People literally call the restaurants I work at all the time asking how close to closing can they come in. They purposely do it.
