@nategarner: I hated myself. My story: I lost myself, my purpose and my appearance, and I couldn't stand to look in the mirror. When I got addicted to going out, it was never really about the alcohol or party. It was about running from the failure of life I had built for myself. Every time I saw my reflection I couldn't believe how far I had let myself go. I let my family down, and I let you guys down. Alcohol destroyed me, and I still ran to it to escape and feel better about the life it was destroying. That is the trap. It took everything I had to finally stand in front of that mirror, face every demon I had been running from, and decide to become the best version of me again. If I can come back from the addiction, losing my appearance, and the whole internet hating me... you can come back from anything.
