@earthpix: This church is covered in gray and white stripes. 🖤 The Church of San Giovanni Battista in Mogno, Switzerland, was designed by architect Mario Botta and built between 1994 and 1996. The church replaced an older building that was destroyed by an avalanche in 1986. Botta used alternating layers of marble and gneiss to create its distinctive striped pattern, with the stone coming from nearby quarries in the region. By: @lerichti
