i like how the progression of this movie went the same way as the old ones did. it started out as a monster thriller, focusing on humanity's POV trying to figure out how they can handle this thing that defies all their understanding of nature. and now it's become a goofy action monster series, focusing on monster fights and less human scenes.

I think the reason muto making that sound because it kinda mimicking the sound of gunfire in the original sound design. so that the soldiers on the train thought that the other guys were under attack
