Carpeted wheel wells. It dampens road noise, yeah but it also holds moisture. It allows your car to rust out. Quicker in those areas. And they are a bitch to get clean

Carpet is used in these areas to quieten wheel noise while driving from entering the cabin. It is a pain to detail, but there is a purpose for it.

I find it satisfying to pressure wash them out, I prefer carpet lined 😅

Vehicle manufacturers honestly should just do plastic with a foam or carpeted liner on the inside so that it doesn’t make a noise it’s really not that difficult

Honestly, its not new tho, my 20 yr old car has carpet in the rear. I just don't detail personal cars at this point

Newer cars? Pretty sure there’s cars from like 2008 that had this carpet fender liners already. I hate them too though
