I don't think gatekeeping games is the way forward, it's actually the thing from the past. Microsoft already controls a massive chunk of the gaming market through Xbox and Windows (at least for now) making most PCs effectively Xboxs too. I don't believe releasing (or not) Forza on a PlayStation or a switch (that thing can barely handle it's own OS) will have that much of an impact on their revenues
