Zac taylor calls the game entirely different when a backup qb is in the game, the bengals run the ball better, the offense becomes more creative, the blocking is more consistent, and the bengals usually hold the ball longer. This could be a thing where zac taylor simplified the offense to what joe burrow and joe burrow only likes when he’s playing (more throwing, more shotgun plays, more spread formations), it puts more stress on the o-line and it makes it so the defense will be on the field more. This is the only explanation why there’s such a record difference in these high scoring close games when joe burrow isnt playing vs is, since we know from every other stat how good he is in these moments.

Football reference has him at 11 game winning drives. This stat is cherry-picked to an insane degree. (8min is arbitrary to begin with, for example cowboys 2024 he took the lead back with 10min to go, not 8)
