@Tina k: Yes you did the right thing. It would be too hard to meet up again after all that hard emotional work you did. My GUESS is he was testing out the “grass” and realized the grass WASN’T greener on the neighbors lawn.

Best thing is to keep moving forward and not give him another chance. I did this with my ex for several years and it really messed my head up for a number of years. And now I'm so thankful he ended it because I'm so happy in life.

Speaking from personal experience. When my wife of ten years left, it was incredibly painful. Break ups are. I had a lot of people trying to comfort me saying she’ll be sorry and realize she’s better off with you. What I realized in time was, I was better off without her. Wishing the same for you.
