@valuecontentafrica: A society cannot demand integrity from its young people while rewarding the opposite in its most powerful citizens A title, position, wealth or connection oftentimes seem to provide a shield that ordinary people do not have. And then we wonder why young people lose faith in institutions. They look around and see see wealth without accountability, influence without responsibility, privilege without consequence and eventually, they begin to question the values we handed them. The danger is not only that some people may be above the law, it is that society begins to accept the idea that they should be. When power can influences how justice is applied, the law stops looking like a common standard and starts looking like a privilege. #Africa #AfricanSociety #RuleOfLaw #Justice #fyp
