I do agree! And now cogitate on the fact that the Escarpment is the end point of the glacial maximum. It’s where all the sediment the ice sheets scraped off of the Shield got dropped, and the meltwater settling into the scar created the Lakes!

It's funny see it as a sea cause early explorers honestly thought they had reached the wet coast of Canada when they entered Lake Ontario from the St Lawrence River. Inagine how disappointed they must've been 😅

a sea is body of saltwater that connects to the ocean. This is fresh water surrounded by land so yeah...its a lake. A GREAT lake

Agreed, go to sandbanks in Ontario. White sand beach! On a lake! Weirdest thing is not tasting the salt on your lips from the breeze.
