100% but I think for those that don’t know how it works by not enough beds it means they do have physical beds and rooms available. They just can’t put people in them as they do not have the nurses required to look after extra patients if they did open them up. This could be solved so quickly by looking after our nurses and hiring more to have the beds attended.

NSW has huge issues in retention because nsw health, education and justice has no recourse for bad management. No one goes on a pip, no one gets fired past a certain point. they might get moved. they might be investigated by an old mate from uni. thats why so many people leave for other states and why so many people are on permanent compo from psychological damage. we need to hold shit bosses accountable and we need to stop paying outside consultants to come up with reasons to not give that money to front-line staff

waited like 6 hours for them to do a check and tbh that was the kindest part of the experience. woke up in the morning to them telling me I was getting my nut cut out and them saying "as you know its cancer." nope no one told me

Spend so long in the ER for chest pains to the point they completely went away after about 2-4hrs, meanwhile someone that was actively bleeding was just sitting there being told to hold pressure on a wound

Kempsey one has lost funding they dont have half the things actually needed since COVID. i spend 4-6 hours there, i aviod it as much as I can.

our local hospital has 11 hour wait times. I took my adult daughter who had a cluster headache so bad, she lost sight in one eye. we waited for 7 and half hours before giving up and going home.

Neh. Took my son to the ER once this year. Was taken in straight away and was home 6 hours later after treatment then 4 hours of observation.

there is so much more involved than just enough beds or staff. affordable primary health care is desperately needed to avoid the ED buildup. NSW is still the lowest paid in the country

Of course let’s pay people for sub par work, maybe the offer the government put forward was realistic for the job they are doing, instead let’s tax multi billion companies through the roof that employe staff and give it to those who think leaving pills in a room and not verifing it’s the right patient is acceptable
