Critical Drinker is just a right-wing culture pipeline through movies and TV reviews. I hate that guy

I would have missed out on peacemaker both seasons if I felt the same way

Wait until he reads the comics & see race plays a huge part of characters storylines he might combust into flames

As a black woman, if I had that thinking I would miss out on so many great shows, movies, & books. I wish people didn’t feel the need to be centered in everything, how do they build empathy?

I’m a Black woman I would have missed on so many amazing books or movies If I was limited by that thinking. I’ve observed many whites can’t connect to media unless they are centered.

Mind you the show is doing nothing but being lore accurate.

Laterns is phenomenal. Also, if he stayed longer he would see some really interesting character study.

Wildest thing is that if he made to Episode 7, there’s a whole scene that really speaks to being a man / the male experience, which is something you’d think he’d care about

No serious movie critic or internet movie critic takes Critical Drinker seriously. He is just selling right-wing "anti-woke" propaganda. He throws red meat to his base with the dumbest arguments and ironically enough lack of critical thinking. He is so drunk in 2016 anti SJW mentality he can't see straight

going "i am not the target audience" is an adult thing to do. going on to then insult the target audience isnt. I tried to watch house of the dragon but it doesnt feel like its for me so im probably not gonna continue with it but im not gonna accuse people who are into it of being into like incest & such. because thats insane. also im not american & I dig the Lanterns show, it feels so intelligently made.

My entire life things weren’t made for me. I recall on SUPERFRIENDS on Saturday morning cartoons. One week a month they’d shuttle in Samurai, Apache Chief and Black Vulcan for what I now call diversity weekend. They should get over themselves

What’s so crazy was the original comic books were full of racial issues

Yes episode 3 is about a black experience but it's also about the irreparable damage that parents forcing children to live their dreams does which is a universally relatable story.

As a black person, my experience is rarely centred. Whereas its the opposite for white people so maybe that's why they feel.uncomfortable when they are not the default

This is pretty sad cuz as a white man, some of the most inspirational stories I've encountered in my life were those with protagonists that didn't look like me, but I discovered I had so much more in common with.

Its Hilarious, I'm 51 and Black...Imagine growing up watching TV when it was literally Black and White before color. How many shows reflected my experience??? Who cared???
