Exactly! My family can come over anytime for the most part, but I prefer to have a freshly cleaned or tidied house for any guests, so a heads up is always appreciated

I think someone should always call first. You might have appointments or errands to run or maybe you don't feel good. No one wants to entertain anyone if they re sick.
