It’s been hard for me at 76. I stopped being able to walk around 4 years ago. I used to do everything and anything. My daughter decided to estrange from me when I first showed signs of challenged mobility. I have NO one. I moved here when she needed help and was homeless. Now, I’m in bad depression. I served in Vietnam and have always been a very strong woman. I was a working RN for years and a single mom. Now, I feel like I can be dead for a month or two before anyone would know. I don’t go to the doctor for tests, because I don’t want to know. There is no one here who cares. I have friends all over the US, but not here. My home has always been immaculate. Not now. I roll around on desk chairs and fall frequently. If I didn’t have my pets and feed, plus, TNR strays, I would choose to not be here. I have no energy and just want to sleep. I try to watch funny movies, so that, plus the animals, thus far, are keeping me here.

I'm 77 and was hospitalized in May for a pulmonary embolism. was very scary for me and now I am on a blood thinner and get dark red spots on my forearms from the meds...reminding me of that finality. I decided to book a solo cruise to the Mexican Riveriera. I want to relax by myself, I want to see the sea and the stars in the middle of the ocean. I find I'm excited about it.

I listen to my body . If I’m tired I rest and relax. I totally understand where you’re coming from. Yes house chore always but not that important, it can wait.

I only wish I had some pointers and advice to offer you. I’ll be reading all the comments along with you. We aren’t getting any younger. It doesn’t work that way. So I’m going to need the advice and pointers too. Soo so glad you’re back. I know you’re doing everything you know to do to keep going. Prayers continue.

i’m 75. i feel fine. i lost tons of friends and now my husband and i find ourselves sitting at nite watching a movie. where it used to be to be lots of entertainment I’m ok just one thing that BOTHER me. it went so fast and I didn’t stop to smell the roses. I for sure will not slow down. not much to do at 75 but my husband is gone though triple heart and year later bladder cancer. we got thou n we are back to going to the beach not baking in sun

I'm so happy your better Lisa. like I've said I'll be 69 in Nov. and it's just myself and my dog Eddie. I diffently have slowed down. I don't do things that I know I shouldn't. I have a neighbor that helps me alot. I use to hate to ask but not anymore. I've lived here in my park for 10 years. at first I did it all. I don't even clean my own yard or patio. can't pay much but I have a guy that does it for 50 dollars. realized to much for me to do and it's okay. yes slow down. it's okay. my house use to be perfect. not anymore and I'm okay with it. l.isa it's way okay to chill out. we deserve it and yes it's our final time. live it to the fullest just slower. somday I stay in my jammies and read book of course SCOLL TIK TOK Which I'm glad I do or I wouldn't have met you. I only follow a few people and I just love you try and stay positive miss Lisa. I even have a bowl of ice cream at night and not sugar free. I'm diabetic. if a bowl of ice cream kills me okay then. LOL I Stay positive because I have wonderful kids and grandkids friends even though all my family lives in Washington and Alaska I see them a couple times a year. I miss them but I love living in Arizona. I have my pity party days but not to often. hang in there we will talk soon welcome home.

l am 87 still live alone & go from day to onother. Have my beautiful little poodle who is 16 years old .l read a lot & my housekeeper because my best friend. That's all I need. l am financially independent wich l worked on when l was still working.

I'm 75 so, I know I won't be around too much longer because I have health issues. What bothers me most, is not leaving much to my 3 kids and 2 grandson's. I just accepted it because you can't stop aging.I just have to believe, death is just a beginning of a new journey.
