As I'm married to a American citizen, I'm happy to see how things have changed, first thing my wife's parents said /comment where, ' he only wants to married her for her papers 🤦', still until this day 15yrs married and 3 kids, they still don't support her married a Mexican 🤷, Happy for you and big thumbs up to your parents 🙏.

Justo las mismas preguntas que yo, como mamá Mexicana, me hago sobre el "güerito" con el que está saliendo mi hija. Él no habla nada de español, y sin embargo las risas nunca faltan cuando viene a nuestra casa, que es su casa.

Exactly! what is important is the way he is with you and not the nationality, probably the only inconvenient will be like in your case or others if he doesn't speak English and unable to communicate with the girlfriend/wife family.

Your dad sounds like he's got Mexican blood because we ask, is he a good guy ? does he treat you well and are you happy? I'm married to a Wedda for 37 years now. My father in law is from Cheyenne Wyoming when it was all ranches and real cowboys. People asked if we got along. He was like my dad and we both had high paying labor intensive jobs. So we hit it off immediately. I would come over after work to see my girlfriend and my father in law and myself would fall asleep with our dinner plates on our lap watching the Lakers game. Our culture was never a problem. Our wedding reception was a bunch of cowboys dancing to cumbias until 5am 😂😂😂
